Learning to rhyme is an important skill for children to develop because it is an early indicator for literacy development and success. In this session, participants will develop an understanding of the progression of phonological awareness and how rhyming plays a role in phonemic awareness development. Participants will learn developmentally appropriate strategies to add rhyming activities to all parts of the Connect4Learning® day. Participants will gain strategies and tips that will help children understand how to recognize and generate rhyming words.
