If you have a toddler who loves to Rock out like mine then this is best learning instrument for them.Real guitars are too complex. This one has just one string so they can hear the melody that they're playing without the noise of 5 other strings. It's color and number coded learning.My son can't read yet but he can match the color and the numbers. He was playing twinkle twinkle little stars within hours.It's made of solid sustainable wood. Which makes it very durable. It is very lightweight so he can handle it with his little hands. It's very easy to maintain with low maintenance.

Waited a bit for this but it was so worth it. My little absolutely loved it. She is so into music so she is learning new songs as I type. Such a fun design and easy to use. I even give it a few strums when she’s not using it.

A great beginner guitar for young children

The TinkerTar guitar comes in many different styles, including this tiger design. This is a very simple guitar for young children to learn with. It has the numbers 1 through 15 on the handle next to the string. Kids read the corresponding book with notes and numbers, and then play the specific number (which are also color coordinated). The book has classic children's songs, like "Old MacDonald had a Farm" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider." On their website, you can also download a few Christmas theme songs. Since the kids only have to pluck one string, it's very easy to learn. It seems appropriate for pre-k through early elementary aged children. The only odd thing I've noticed is that there seems to be duplicate pages in the book, but I think that's more of a quality control issue.

This TinkerTar Tigar Guitar is so cute and the perfect starter instrument for a toddler. It requires no assembly you just tighten the string. If it goes back after twisting all you need is a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screw just a bit. Once you have the string tight it’s ready for your little one to start exploring music. It comes with a song book and a guitar strap. It’s lightweight and easy to handle.

My daughter is loving this! I love how this is easy for me to set up for her and that it’s all laid out perfectly for her to know where she needs to put her fingers on each part of the guitar and what key it represents. It feels super sturdy and the perfect size for little ones to hold and get comfortable learning how to play a guitar. It sounds great too and I love that I can adjust how tight the strings are easily to get perfect tuning/sound.
