Melinda comes to Kaplan with many years of experience in both sales and early childhood education. After 23 years in construction sales with Pella Windows and Doors, Melinda worked as a teacher with Henrico County Public Schools for nine years; she spent eight of those years in Head Start or Viginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) classrooms. In addition to her classroom experience, Melinda is involved with the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC).

Melinda looks forward to building relationships with early learning professionals and giving them the resources, tools, and solutions they need to create the best possible environments for the children in their care. Melinda's favorite Kaplan product is the Illumination Station because of the ways that it encourages learning through multisensory play.

Melinda serves the Commonwealth of Virginia, which includes the cities of Alexandria, Arlington, Culpeper, Fairfax, Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, and Virginia Beach.
